Required Knowledge:
Employees are expected to have general knowledge of typical office technologies such as computers, printers, copiers, fax machines, and typical office software.
Job Specific knowledge is listed below:
- Knowledge of program management skills, supervision and leadership skills
- Knowledge of state and federal WIC program standards and requirements
- Knowledge, understanding, and competency in USDA and State WIC requirements, including specifically:
o Certification in Participant-Centered Education (PCE) and participant-Centered Services (PCS);
o Nutrition assessment, nutrition education and counseling, and risk assignment;
o Issuance of WIC benefit

Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Nutrition, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years in Nutrition education and counseling services, WIC program services, grant-writing, social services program management, and service delivery in a cross-cultural and/or socio-economically diverse settings
- Minimum 3 years as a Supervisor and/or manager experience
- State of Alaska Licensed Dietitian, or equivalent training education or experience (Registered Dietitian, RN or PA)
Experience:
- as a Supervisor of WIC program services: 3 years (Required)
- Nutrition education and counseling services: 3 years (Required)
Education:
- Bachelor's (Required)
Licenses or certifications:
- Registered Dietitian, RN or PA (Required)
- State of Alaska Licensed Dietitian (Required)
